Andrew Scheer
Andrew James Scheer, (born May 20, 1979) is the Leader of
the Conservative Party of Canada, and Leader of Her Majesties Loyal Opposition,
in the Canadian House of Commons.
Mr. Scheer was first elected Member of Parliament for
Regina-Qu’Appelle in 2004.
He was elected to the esteemed position as Speaker of the
House of Commons for four years, becoming the youngest Speaker in Canadian
history.
Andrew was re-elected in 2006, 2008, and 2011, and since the
2015 election, served as the Official Opposition House Leader, until elected
Leader of the Party.
Andrew studied History and Politics at the University of
Ottawa, and the University of Regina. He
also completed the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker program, and began his career
in the insurance industry in Regina.
As a father of five, Andrew is known for his enduring
conservative principles, socially and economically.
With Andrew Scheer in the lead, the Conservative Party of
Canada is on the move, readying to replace the Liberals.
